Synthesis and Properties of New Complexes of Nickel(Ⅱ)-Dithiocarbamates

Abstract

|
Various water soluble dithiocarbamates are synthesized from the reaction of piperidines with carbon disulfide in aqueous alkali solutions. Dithiocarbamate with one dithio group bonded to an each amine was obtained. New complexes of nickel-dithiocarbamates were synthesized by the reaction of hexamethyleneiminedithiocarbamate (A) and 4-benzylpiperidine-dithiocarbamate (B). Various nickel complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, infrared, mass spectrum and W/VIS absorption studies. The possible structures were proposed on the basis of elemental analyses and physical properties.
